The weather forecast was wrong today. Thankfully so. It stayed dry and was sunny all day. Only 13/15 degrees mind but manageable without a coat. Spent the day in the Mournes with mini-me, crossing rivers and taking shortcuts through forests imparting what little I know about birch and pine trees and badger tracks. Capped off with seafood chowder and fresh wheaten in MSB on the way home. Tough day.

That kind of education money cannot buy. I still recall spending a very wet and windy St Pstrick’s Day on Strangford Lough with my Dad. I found a piece of broken china on the beach and Dad explained how the tide had worn away the sharp edges but the biggest lesson I learned was that MY Dad was the best Dad of all. Girls and their Dads eh?
Btw, badger tracks, I’m impressed by that one.
ellie, indeed.
And on the second comment, in hindsight it might have been a Labrador.
ooooooooh so close to an unintended meeting……we went to Strangford and then Castleward….we were gonna go to the original MSB…..what could have been….wish we had, food was little better than average at Cuan
It was lovely, manuel. Nom, nom, as you’d say.
